On Wednesday, internet retail wholesale giant Amazon re-launched its Prime Music on-demand music streaming service into a full-fledged catalogue of tens of millions of songs, with single-user and family plans competitive with offerings from Google, Apple and Spotify.

Honestly they need to bundle it into Prime if they want to make it have any traction.

Case and point: Google Play Music, Youtube Red and Youtube Music
Google initially thought they could sell a streaming service and an add free youtube to seperate customer bases. Turns out most customers didn't really feel the need to pay to go ad free, so Google ended up bundling all 3 together and still fails to attract new users to the youtube services. A lot of people were presently surprised to get Red + Music for free after subscribing to Play Music, but I can't really think of anyone who actually cares about the unique Red content.

TL;DR:
Prime is already too expensive, no one is willing to pay more for a subpar service. See: Google Music + Youtube Red as proof.
