    EK - remove washers?

    Hi everyone,

So I'm installing the EK waterblock for my MSI GTX1080 Gaming X and in the instructions it has to remove all washers (prior to install), then later when installing the block it says if there's already plastic washers installed on the core mounting holes (4), you can leave them but not install their PVC washers.

Problem is, the GPU already has 4 extremely thin (the thickness of a paper - 1 or 2 sheets at most) washers glued on it. Does anyone in the , know if I should remove these and use the EK washers (which are much thicker), not install the EK washers, or just install the EK washers ontop of the OEM super thin washers?

I attached a pic for clarity. Many thanks to anyone out there that can assist!

Thanks for the reply. In the end that's what I did last night anyways. A bit of fiddling and a razor blade here and there and I was able to remove the oem "washers" and just use the EK ones
