Not yet. But yah im probably going to need voltron hero 6 for ln2 testing.

Ive been aware of it for awhile now.

Note all along i have been commenting on pwm and input power options.

Id rather purchase it however. Dont like to be told how or what to say when i test or review something.

I plan on testing a few boards and comparing like i used to ill share my findings when the time is right.

I am only getting one board. I am sure you can guess which at this point (I still wont say) I will get to test the others as time goes on, but it wont be anything more than basic air and water, I don't have time to do more unluckily. I had assumed power would be interesting with these chips having played with the 2011 intel 8 core parts and watching them run out of power delivery. I am still fighting board power issues with the X99m-WS and my dual RX480 and 6850K setup.

in other news it appears Intel is pulling some stunts to attempt to keep market share.

More salesmen with intel chips is easily equated to more intel sales.

Keep us updated on your findings Chew and FlanK3r, when the time is right of course. Got me a x1800 and Asus CH Hero pre-order already , feels great to be back on AMD again.

Mine won't get here that quickly - I'm expecting March 5th maybe? Amazon usually get stuff to me in 2-3 days using free shipping. Sometimes its nice having one of their warehouses in town.

Well I am impressed by the performance, but I am less than impressed by a couple other things. Will post actual information on the 2nd. sorry.

    Well, we know some things.
    1. Overclockability
    2. Ram support (drastic speed reduction when using 4 modules, and probably worse clocking)
    3. Not enough pcie lanes even on x370.
    4. Mobo prices / weak vrm`s on most /lack of gpu outputs on the most pricey boards.
    5. Probably some weird problems with this whole bios on cpu thing.
    6. Weird latency thing showed on synthethics ? (thats a VERY MAYBE).

I know you are on nda, but can you at least tell if there are other things or not ?
As for the boards, im pretty much not happy about the prices, i bought X99 asrock extreme 3 and while it may be lower tier of x99 boards, its very solid, and has all that i need, and i cant say that exactly about the boards we`ve seen so far that cost more even though they SHOULD BE less expensive, intels 4 channel, socket and x99 chipset arent cheap.

I never confirmed personally 4 dimm issues. But 2 doublsided, 4 and 4 doublesided has had a trend of delivering lower stability on many if not all platforms. I had to pull my 4x4 gig set on my sandy bridge and order 2x8g to get it stable. My imc was actually one of the better ones.

    @ chew

Is also a different between 2x Dual Rank and 2x Single Rank in stability and max RAM clock with Ryzen?

No clue. Dont have dual rank. Its just generally speaking common knowledge in overclocking as is higher density ram. More chips = more chances of one chip holding the rest back.

I'm new to ddr4 and been mia 5 years. What little info i do know is based on some research i did which applied to me and overclocking. Which ics perform best.

It was a big surprise to see the lack of high performance 4 gig sticks.

Ok. Was thinking you mean with better stability your Ryzen
You only User Single Rank RAM?

My sticks so far are single sided 8 gig. Im like a week or two back in the scene. I only have 3 sets of ddr4 so far in that time frame. I feel naked without trays of memory at my disposal

Not so good If 4x Single Sided is a Problem
Maybe than 4x Double sided makes realy big Problems with high RAM clock

I want to Upgrade To Ryzen
But my bench Time is gone and so i want 32-64GB RAM
Maybe than micron & fast Timings is the best way for Ryzen with 32-64GB DDR4 If high clock is Not possible

I game alot now. Anything over 16g is not necessary. In fact the only reason i went to 16g was titanfall. No clue on titanfall2 but titanfall chews up ram game performed like crap. 16g solved this issue. It was probably poor coding.

    Thats absolut right
    But i Never play games
Only Love to Play a little Bit with Hardware
Mostly only use it for Office and realy realy seldom i use Up to arround 20-25gb under w7
Don't realy need an Upgrade to Ryzen, for the things i do with the PC.
    but new technic is interessting^^

I'm a straight shooter techtrancer. I wont recommend or guide people wrong and admit if I have not been able to confirm or test something

Many my remember me, some may not know who I am.

    Short and sweet.

I call BS when I see it.

I am extremely unbiased while being a fan of AMD

I am 100% completely aware of behind the scene tactics manufacturers play

I report my findings good or bad for any manufacturer regardless if they have sent me hardware or not providing it does not violate NDA

I will not kiss any companies Azz for product and call it how I see even if it gets me blacklisted.

I value my credibility far higher than a bunch of semiconductors.

My biggest flaw is the lack of patience for ignorance, stupidity and misinformation.

I wouldn't quite call it a review. Sites get paid to do that. I would call it a write up.

Like it more than Reviews from Sites
Normaly the OC results of Sites are much to Bad for the realy good selected Chips
As a fan of OC think one, the selected chips are wasted

Hey Lightman so great to see you around.

Probably been 4 years since I logged on here lol. Did hear from Tye a while back.

Anyway I came here to say I'm so sad our great mate Dave isn't here to see this in person. I damn hope he is here in spirit.

    To see AMD back again....wow.

PS Great to see you're finally out of the car....:P
