Question Will this RAM work on my mobo?

I got Athlon 5150 and Asus AM1I-A ordered already and now I need to find some good RAM for overclocking this APU. BTW, many thanks to FlanK3r for his great posts about this nice little (and inexpensive) setup.

I found one 4GB stick of Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP just like in link below:

And I also found some review:
    http://www.overclockers.com/crucial-...r3-1600-review

I don't know much about OCing so I'm not sure if the results are really good (above average) or only so-so (below average)? And also I'm wondering if this RAM will work without any problems on AMD mobo?

I'd appreciate it very much, if somebody could help me with this matter. BTW, maybe I just should get that HyperX Savage 2133 or 2400 if price is almost the same?

this Crucial could be good. With this mobo only you can change voltage to 1.65-1.7V and have some fun with OC (BCLK)

Thanks FlanK3r for your reply. I'll try to find some 2400 stick though because it would be more future-proof. Any suggestions maybe?

I really don't think that 2400 ram will be necessary for this platform. If you want something fast then maybe 1866-2133 but I really think you'll be fine with your 1600. This isn't a powerhouse platform to begin with and the difference in performance won't be worth the premium you pay for 2400 memory.

Well, I guess you're right but I'm not sure if 5150 will be fast enough for me after OCing it to ~2100. That's why I was thinking about faster RAM and swapping 5150 to 5350 in the future. With this APU I could hit ~2500 which should be OK for me (playing some older DX9 games like Stalker, Doom3, FEAR or sims like rFactor or GTL).

I've got an 8w A6-1450 Temash Quad, and it slays FEAR at 720p.

With 2x the graphics clock speed and 50% more memory bandwidth (with 1600MHz RAMs), your 5150 should work just dandy.

Thank you very much for this information. It looks like 1600MHz may be enough for me but still Savage 2400 costs only $10 more than Crucial 1600. And according to latest posts by TaPaKaH those Savage sticks use Hynix BFR chips so they are pretty good deal. If I won't find anything better and cheaper on second-hand market, I think I'll just go with latest budget Kingston sticks.
