Artists Needed: Banner for XS in the "10 Days for 10th Birthday WCG Challenge"

Any of you good at art? Making Banners?

With a little over 1 month to go until the WCG 10th Birthday Challenge https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.or...37235_offset,0 I figure it would be good to get a good banner/sig on the go to help advertise this.

    Who haz the skillz ??

    A quick half-minute mock-up?

Very nicely done Captain XC, you can now take a bow and then beam up to the bridge.

I like your subtile use of shadows and the resulting lifted WCG lettering. Can you do something similar with the XS portion of the banner?

I can't take credit for the drop shadows, I grabbed the image from the discussion thread on the WCG forums All I did was put the XS logo on one side and split the 10 year logo in half so I could keep the text as large as possible while keeping the four squares within the space constraints. I then added a solid background with the colour #dcdcdc and Bob's your uncle. Like I said, it was a*very* quick mock-up. I'll do the entire thing properly with text (and a drop shadow on the XS logo if you'd like - drop shadows are very easy).

That actually looks pretty decent. I was thinking something more along the lines of this cartoon, with XS being the truck and the WCG teams being the bump runover by the skid marks:
