A quick and easy Sandy Bridge question

Hey fellas. It's been years since I built the system I'm currently using and followed pc hardware, so you could say I'm rusty + out of the loop.

I had no need to overclock my 2500k since I had it paired with a GTX 570 and that limited my FPS in games more than anything. With my new GTX 970, however, I wanted some more cpu performance.

I'm at 4.5ghz right now, with 1 volt at 1600mhz idle, 1.3 volts at 4500mhz load. However, my voltage will spike to 1.344 according to hwmonitor. I just wanted to make sure that this spike is still well within safe limits for the 2500k.

Yep, safe. It should like SVID is working and adjusting voltages on the fly, it is normal.

Hey guys. I know I said it would be quick and easy... But I ended up having some issues with the stability of that clock and want to check on my new settings.

I'm now just running straight 4.4ghz, all turbo and power saving features disabled. This is with LLC level 6 and 1.330 volts selected in bios on a GB P67-UD5 v1.0.

I've already tested and LL6 is definitely best for this voltage on my board (5 drops too much, 7 goes too high on load).

My volts are ranging from 1.308 to 1.356. I wanted to ask A: is it normal for this board to have so much variation in voltage? and B: Are peaks into 1.356 safe for 24/7 usage?
