Oh yeah Oh yeah !!!! Wonder if the specs itself is enough to make the nvidia crybabies start spreading and chumming. ATI letting Nvidia know "THEY ARE READY !!"

Daring them to release their Ti already so they can beat it with a better card while not being greedy capitalist s about it.

I think a ton of green crystal balls cracked lol, pair of 970's atm is mindblowing VFM if ATI can beat that GEEEGEEEE nvidia should keep tubs of lube ready.

    Haha, but seriously though.

Those specs are over the top if true. A streamprocessor increase like that normally comes with a smaller process. The 28nm process is very mature by the looks of it, but can they pull it off?

How much is it going to consume? 350watt?

Would you buy it if it spanked the gtx980 for the same cost?

well for one thing AMD needs to refresh there prices in the entire product stack especially the 285/280x/290/290x... the 290/290x needs to be $299/$349 to put as much pressure on the 970 as possible

    Ha!

Would I love AMD to come out with an answer to the 9xx-series? Very much yes. However, if the R9 series is anything to go by, I'm not holding out a huge amount of hope for AMD to do anything particularly earth-shattering on the 28 process; their core design this gen seems very much on the hot-and-heavy end of the scale so without a die shrink or a radical redesign I'm not entirely sure where they're going to go next.

Indeed, those are quite the specs.
I gotta wonder about the tdp though, and of course the cooling and bios support(ram stuff...).
Regardless, even if the tdp is double of nv, people will go for it if it's cheaper to buy, best bang for your buck type of thing.

Looking forward to this, and I hope AMD will use HDMI 2.0 on their cards as well, enough of this HDMI 1.4a nonsense at 4K/30Hz or whatever.

Reckon it's 28nm answer to Maxwell, but nVidia has held plenty performance back, don't think they will be a pushover with a Ti and Titan.

Well I can honestly say most of those specs are completely made up, if it wasn't obvious.

    28nm and HBM is expected.
There is a reason why Nvidia dropped GTX970 to $329 rather than the original $379-$399 that was planned.

well most of this "specs" are nothing more then what was rumored since april this year.

3k SP is somewhat believable on the current process, but 4,2k would make a huge ass die, even with a mature process.
