Actually, in typical use, any difference in the transfer speeds is impossible to notice. I am working this from a bigger angle where I see fluctuations in all interfaces... Your NVMe high seq write result is significantly lower than what I would expect (about 600MB/s), although your end Total Score is close to the money. Your 4K is good there which makes me wonder as the 4K I am seeing everywhere is lower than the Z97....some significantly. On a M.2, I cannot get to 100MB/s low 4k random write speeds.

Is this board going to be available in the UK, the etailers I use never stocked the Z97 OC Formula, so I'm not holding out much hope for the X99 OC Formula.

Not having much luck so far with corsair 2800 Vengance LPX C16 kit even with the latest bios. Kit has 2800 and 3000mhz xmp profiles 2800 randomly works but anything over = no boot , only option is to stay around 2750 and tighten things up.

using 125 strap boosted ram voltage even for xmp and no luck to boot at 3000 or stability at 2800+

    Any tips much appreciated.

Newest BIOS ? you try adding volts ? does 3000 on mine although it is a different kit

Anyone know what this debug means (bd)

    not in the book ?

All of a sudden won't boot my 5.375 or 5.250 profiles that have been rock solid thus far

Yup latest bios tried adding volts also no luck. Guessing i'm not the only one having issues on the OCF not really seeing anyone posting a lot of mem results.

bd debug although not in the manual seems memory related only time I see it is when I try to push mem to far or run xmp

I can try but as I said memory randomly boots at 2800 say 2 out of 10 trys and 2666-2750 is rock solid so guessing it will pass memtest at the below rated freq no problem. But thanks for the suggestion i'll give it a try shortly and post back.

So running the latest memtest I can find v5.01 for a few minutes gives me 1000's and 1000's of errors. Can anyone confirm this version actually work with ddr4? If someone could try it on there system and post back i'd appreciate it.

Setting ram to xmp profile 1 2800mhz and then dropping speed back to 2666 gives no errors after 1 pass in Quad channel
Setting ram to xmp profile 1 2800mhz and running memtest @ 2800 gives lots of errors in Quad channel.

Removed one stick at a time and restested in tri channel at xmp prof 1 until I found the faulty stick looks like you where spot on
    msimax good call man

    RMA time now

Just a bit of an update as I am now working on an ASRock X99 Extreme 11. I have spent the weekend testing the heck out of this new board, as I did with the OC Formula, and the same reigns true, storage transfer speeds are slightly lower, especially for low 4K write access. A perfect example of this is with the M.2 drives where they might reach a 4k write of 135MB/s formerly, but get about 70MB/s now. I have tested NVMe, SAS, SASx8RAID, N.2 PCIe x4 RAID x2, M.2 X4, and notebook....all with the same results.

On a positive light... I did reach 6.1GB/s with the 8 12gbps SAS drives. Full report to follow on The SSD Review

Hey guys, received my X99 OC Formula a while ago and as soon as I have some memory ill start posting results, thinking of going with some GSkill 3000 cl15 or the 3200 cl16 kit.The board looks great, looking forward to freezing memory on this board and trying all sorts of memory combinations as well as some 3D benching as funds come more available

Would really like to thank Asrock,Nick,Splave and Loud for their support

    3000 CAS 15,

have not really checked them out close, doing a lot of 3D lately

Quick testing says they are not as strong as my first kit
