    Video Card or PSU Problem

Well I had to replace my PSU my old one is in my Sig

the reason I think its the PSU is my monitor keeps

Losing the signal but my PC Stays on , also when I launch

World Of Warcraft when I look at the post code on the MOBO

it showing 2E but when I look in the mobo manual its doesn't

show an 2e error from what I read the 2e is a video problem

but this is the PSU I ordered

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139057

    Also

this is what is strange that video card is working in my PC now but if I launch WoW

I lose signal , and I have to hold down the pwr button to shut the PC down and then pwr it bk on

and it works so then I tried the game again and turned down the settings in the game to LOW I get no problems

I can run the game but if I put in the other stick of RAM I get the same problem and the code d3 witch is a ram problem

but I did do a memtest on the sticks of Ram and np were found

this is why I think its the PSU ,so correct me if im wrong the only thing I have powered on this PC is

    CPU
    1 STICK OF 2GIG RAM
    VIDEO CARD
    A PRINTER
    MOUSE AND KEYBOARD

1000 Watts should be np running this

but if I put in the 2nd stick of RAM it wont boot
if I put the game settings to normal I lose signal

so does it sound like the PSU is failing

try bumping ram voltage up slightly, doubt PSU is the problem.

I agree, those module are probably 1.65v and it should be safe to try 1.7v or 1.75v and see if it crashes.

On a related thought also might want to check what the monitor section of your motherboard says it is giving the ram. I picked up an MSI board (A88X-E45) and when set to 1.65v it only gives 1.608v which isnt enough for my ram kit to be stable in it.

ok I will raise the memory volts and see what it does

    EDIT: Today at 03:41 PM
    Update

ok well it raised the Mem Volts to 1.65 looks like they were @1.60 Auto
everything is going Smooth I was able to play my game for at least 1hr 30mins
now im going to add my addons for the game since it take up memory
and if that goes well I will raise my game settings from low to normal

    will brb and post

    EDIT :
    Update

Ok like I posted earlier I said I was going to add my addons and put the setting bk to normal
I did that and all is running well

so my next step is going to max out all setting in the game and see what happens

I will post back once again

But in that time I do have a question why did I have to raise the RAM Volts to get the system stable to run again
I have never had to touch the volts b4 it was all stock even all the volts but RAM was running @1.60v at default
so why did I have to raise it to 1.65v ,im confused
can someone plz explain this to me

    Thanks Roger

Did you install any bios updates recently? Could be capacitors on the motherboard going bad or maybe a heat pocket in the case due to some layout change. Tons of possibilities.

ok well I did what Fugger suggested ,and I raised the ram volts I haven't had problem since raising it
so why would this run all the time @1.60v ,then it starts to crash ,and then raising the volts to 1.65
is there a sign off something going for me to raise it

like I said this is about 6-7yrs old, should I get a new MOtherboard or what

and to put a side note on this I got my new Corsair RM1000 PSU and everything going Smooth

so again what should I do
