Xeon E5 26xx ES X79 GD65 (8d) OC - BIOS bug?
Hello guys,
I'am new here and so I hope there are more experienced overclockers then me. I will try to desribe my problem best as I can.
Well, I bought following hw: MSI X79A-GD65 (8D) with Intel Xeon E5 26xx es - its engineering sample. Seller says, Its unlocked and he ran it on 4,5GHz. Problem is, I just can't OC it. There is unlocked multiplier in BIOS 12x-45x. Its also responed to it changes there, if I set for example 26 it says 2600MHz. Thing is, its not really overclocked, its stays on default. Which is 1,6GHz, 2,4GHz turbo. I tried everything but nothing helps.

What i tried: Increase long and short durations to max, which is 255. Also primary power turbo plane to 255.
Flash BIOS to another version
Remove CMOS battery and reset it
Also few strange things:
RAMs wont post 60 in blue slots, I can boot ONLY at black ones at left side of mobo.
When boot is complete post displays says AA and dont show temperatures.
I think my bios is bugged...
Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks alot,
Mike
