Is the market for used PC's weak?

Just wanted to get folks opinions...

I've built PC's from spare parts to sell on Craigslist a number of times in the past and they've always sold pretty quickly.
For whatever reason, I'm not getting many responses on my latest offerings...

Is the market just that soft, or do you guys think I'm being unreasonable?

    Thanks for any input,

    These are just some observations/suggestions/thoughts:

1st reason-Could be timing. A lot of people go on vacation this month so they either may not be around or may not having extra cash after coming back from vacation

2nd reason-A lot of people have moved towards using more portable devices, eg laptops, tablets, phones

3rd reason-Win7 is not on either machine. Nor is XP. Most people either don't know about Linux or don't care. They want what is familiar, which is usually either Win7 or XP for the older or more OS change resistant folks. Also, people don't want Win8.

4th reason-The second posting is a bit wordy-Cut down on the specifics. Let your pictures do the talking. Nice build by the way. Although I think you are overstating how good the 6870 is vs a 7850.

5th reason-If you post or repost the machines too often, the bottom feeders will see it as a sign of weakness and wait until the price drops. If you only post infrequently like once a week, you may miss the lazy people who only skim through the latest posts. Usually mid day or early evening is best, though sometimes I've had luck posting right after midnight.

6th reason-No phone number to call or text is posted. Many of the under 30 crowd refuse to call and only text.

7th reason-Some people insist on having Office on their computers. They don't understand how much a real copy costs, or even a dealer's license.

Also,it would help if you wrote an abbreviated summary of the specs in the title line of your post for the TLDR/lazy ass readers.

And while it may not be a primary reason, I know that with laptops a large number(but not all of) people really want webcams on them.

In addition, you are listing from the burbs/country. There are many people without cars or they are just too lazy to drive out that way. So maybe either listing as you are in Cincinnati or offering to deliver might help.

    Thanks for the comments yojimbo197,

I'm sure a lot of your suggestions are valid...
The reason I put Win8 on the machine is because it was the only spare version of Windows I had (I think it sucks too!).

Your also probably right about not including a phone#, but I have no intention of giving my # on Craigslist...
They have a confidential e-mail system and I prefer that. I do live in the burbs, but there are a lot of people who live outside the beltway (I-275), so It's not like I live in the booneys....

The main reason I wanted to reply, was your suggestion that the 6870 didn't compare to a 7850.
The 6870's were actually strong cards, and they did beat 7850's in GFlops and Pixel Fill Rates.

I've had a few reply's on the 8350 rig, but it's always someone wanting to trade for something I don't want...

Oh well... I'll post them both again after the 1st of the month.
I thought the prices were reasonable and was just a little shocked I didn't get any cash offers...
