    I had no idea some Xeon socket 771 cpu's were compatible with some socket 775's!

    I just found this today. Too bad the X5470 that I saw on ebay isn't compatible with my old Gigabyte X38 mobo. Would have been a nice upgrade from my tired E6750.

    I'm surprised the X5470 isn't supported since every other cpu is supported on this mobo:

    Edit: X38 was tested by them and not compatible with the 5xxx chips. Bummer.
