    Question Solvay SOLVOKANE (65% HCF-365mfc , 35% trans-DCE) as a autocascade high-boiler?

    Hello autocascade lovers,

I have a question for you. I have today received an unopened canister (~ 1L) of SOLKOVAN refrigeration system solver:
    http://www.solvaychemicals.com/EN/pr...Solvokane.aspx

The composition is 65% HCF-365mfc and 35% trans-1,2-Dichloroethene and the mixture has a boiling point of 36?C.

    Main questions are:
    - Can the following mixture (solvent) be used as an autocascade high-stage boiler just like HCFC-141b can? HCFC-141b is also sold as a pure surface treating agent by Solvay: http://www.solvaychemicals.com/EN/pr...entAgents.aspx
    - What oil carries it?
    - Is the trans-DCE compatible with gaskets within the compressor shell, sight glasses and valves?

    Thanks for your time!

    Best Regards,
    Niko
