Most likely its the Carrizo Apu or could be a gpu? The video does say 2014 so im not sure.

Edit: after watching the video again the last thing it shows is an A-series logo at the bottom left....maybe its an FX Apu edition...

My analysis:
This is an Apu ad. If you watch their "be invincible" ad which features the white 4 white "cores" working together to tackle a multi threaded "application" by enabling "HSA", you will notice at the end the 4 cores are backed up by many Radeon "cores"

The new video clearly plays off of that concept except the video is cut to portray the single "Core(s)" has lost the battle. The war isnt over however and a new Core/Radeon Core hybrid is unveiled.

This is clearly an evolution of their HSA.

So i think the key words taken from the video are: APU, Core, and Evolution

so an APU with Excavator cores...so probably the upcoming carrizo apu. which seems a bit early since thats not due until a next year.

could it be an updated kaveri 2.0 apu with on-die memory?

Well the evolution comment correlates with their "Gaming Evolved"

We are definitely looking at an architecture where the gpu and cpu portions are much closer.
Probably excavator and Hawaii.

If you look at #AMDEvolved twitter feed it shows 12 robots on the side of a truck with an A-series logo.


This obviously isnt a 12-core Apu....and they are referring to 12 compute cores...

Then what is it? Updated kaveri with better HSA features?

It wouldn't make sense to have a 12 core (steamroller) Apu. The die size would be huge!

Its gotta mean compute cores or maybe 12 puma cores?

Its just typical marketing bs. They start to sell 4 cpu + 8 gpu core apu:s as 12 core apus. So nothing new is coming. I hate to be right about this.
