Lightbulb Discussion about best badwidth related to mem speed.........

Hi folks - I just found a very interesting compare in a overclock.net review.

    Here's the link:

    http://www.overclock.net/t/1456876/r...rformance-test

So this testing was made with HASWELL and not IVY - and even that fact it looks to me as if DDR3-2666 @ CL10 delivers best performance all in all.

Before reading this article I thougt this would only effect on IVY BRIDGE - so I'm a little suprised now. I expected a lot more @ 2800 - 3000 with HASWELL.

So what do You think guys after reading this? Is it still worth to buy hi priced RAM >DDR3-2666 ?

    All opinions welcome...............

    If nothing works nomore......:

4GB single-sided sticks with Hynix MFR ICs like the ones from the link are known to have low bandwidth performance despite their high clocks.
    i7 4930K
    32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-2400C10
    Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
    2x GeForce GTX 780
    Corsair AX1200
    Cooler Master HAF-X
    Dell U3011

    - Ok, I see. So for increased performance with higher clocks better choice are MFR double-sided sticks or completely different type of IC ?

Samsung D-die or Hynix CFR on 4GB double sided sticks, and Hynix MFR on 8GB double-sided sticks.
