How to fix source engine using only 1 cpu?

I have a dual xeon 3ghz system with 4 threads with hyperthreading.

Anyway Tactical Intervention only uses the 1 thread.
So in-game the tactical intervention.exe only uses 25% in task manager

I just want to force source engine to utilize all 4 threads because my fps would go up...

The engine is only single threaded. I don't think it can be forced to use more than one thread as that would basically require a recoding of the game engine.

In the launch options set "+mat_queue_mode 2"

If that doesnt work then you're stuck with a single thread.

Perhaps there's a way to assign every other task to the other cores so the game gets a "whole core" for itself.
