New Build for Gaming and Light Overclocking

I'll be using it for gaming, distributed computing, multimedia and internet browsing. I have a D-Tek FuZion LGA775 waterblock but no pump or rad. I also have an old 1440x900 LCD, Antec P180 and Mx518 that I can use for a little while to save some pennies. No keyboard or speakers.

Debating between Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB or Seagate 600 240GB for half the price of the Samsung. Also a single 8GB module of low profile crucial recommended by LogicalIncrements.com for "Superb" or a dual channel G.Skill kit. Also, I was looking for an ergonomic/split/natural mechanical keyboard but didn't turn up much.

Used cards are fine by me. I wanted to leave open the option of installing hackintosh is why I was going with an Nvidia card, I've always bought ATI cards in the past and looking on eBay that R9 290X is too good to pass up.

From UserBenchMarks it seems the Samsung 840 Pro outperforms the Seagate by 20%, and the 840 Evo by a much smaller margin, however the Evo is $70 less in cost with a 2 year shorter warranty than the 840 Pro. I think I'll go with the Evo, thanks for the help!

Here's the revised build before I order everything, probably tonight. I already bought a Sapphire R9 290X 4GB Model 100361SR for $320 from eBay. The crucial MX100 256GB was also recommended to me, if the Evo even has rare real-world performance benefits over the 16nm MX100 I'd still pay the extra $30 for it.

You can consider getting an external usb 3.0 instead of an internal hdd.

I am kind of shying away from the A10 because there isn't enough info really, and I question whether I'd have to get a separate gpu anyway. Lately LoL has been adding effects and causing FPS drops. Used to be able to run it on a toaster...
