Delidded Athlon X4 750K (pics only)

Hi. Nothing much, but wanted to show a delidded Trinity chip. This 750K is real bad, but I decided to not spend more money on crappy FM2 platform So I made a "for free" improvement, popped the lid and smacked a wb straight to the core for a slightly higher OC

Oh don't wait for it... The cpu is sooo bad. Let's just say, I can finally run 4500 MHz 24/7 with ok temps. I won't tell you what voltage it needs

Lol yeah it's always impressive to see the mirror finish on a naked die. I took the pic slightly angled, at first it was all black from my lens. 50 mm macro is a bit too close :P

yeah that mobo looks amazing. I'm excited to see the price tag though, would be a terrible mismatch to the socket itself if it's expensive (like maybe Z87 mid range).

Hey Calathea how did you perform the de-lidding? Just curious because of all the components right near the black glue that could easily be damaged by the razor method. Maybe you used the vice or oven/heatgun method?? Thanks...

I used razor, didn't find it a problem. The gap is quite big so it was actually really easy, just dont apply too much pressure and work your way evenly around the cpu when the corners are loose.
