    I just found the spec sheet for the i7-4790K on Intel's ARK website this morning.

    It states that Z87, H87, Q87, Q85, H81 and B85 chipsets all support the processor. I think this should put to rest all the conspiracy theories regarding this...Intel officially lists these chipsets as being compatible, something they wouldn't do if they intended to force buyers of DC to use Z97. Oddly enough Z97 itself isn't listed.... The spec sheet was probably created prior to the launch of Z97 and needs to be updated.
