    Hello OC,

The new badges provide for a long outstanding request from WCG contributers to have badges that display contributions beyond 2 years. We have gone from 6 to 11 grade level for each badge.

Badges appear on a member's My Contribution page and next to their name in the forums. There are 11 levels of badges awarded based upon how much computing time a member has contributed to each project:

    Bronze - 14 days
    Silver - 45 days
    Gold - 90 days
    Ruby - 180 days
    Emerald - 1 year
    Sapphire - 2 years
Diamond - recognizing higher levels of contribution of 5, 10, 20, 50 and up to 100 years of computing time
The new badge designs are uncluttered and they quite effectively depict the additional levels of contribution. The Team that produced them did very good work. They are now busy correcting some sizing issues for some new badges. Like anything else the aesthetic of some new badges will not please everybody but I can certainly live with their present designs.

PS: I can't afford to let anything more grow on me....

Had to go look. Turns out I have four Diamond badges, three fives and a ten with one of the fives able to turn into a ten within the year with only one machine. I'm sure there are folks here with some BIG numbers on the new sparkles!

Kudo's to WCG for finally getting this done. I can live with this. Now if I could only afford those 12 core xeons to kick my numbers up.

    Aww, no 25 year badges.
Anyone know if they have 50 year badges?

I'm almost always available on Steam to chat. Same username.

I know the feeling - have a bunch at 8 years and a bunch more at 16... and they're no longer running. Oh well. Do it for the science!
