quick burn-in on air. while there's certainly better 4790k out there, board keeps it going.

Pretty much standard 2666 10-12-12. Not trying to induce too many sources of failure in a 21 hour custom run on a new platform

Got Z97M OC Formula today and i am kinda disappointed.

it is no small form factor sister of the big one like the one with Z87 Chipset

hybrid VRM, no LLC Levels, and some other things missing > back to sender.

Z97M OC formula is an eunuch edition and i will return it.

The M is not a bad board though, I watched Zero-Dan run 6-10-6 2666 on frozen PSC on it

They are the heat spreaders from Tsai's memory pot and they rock. It's like Hattori Hanzō steel, the highest quality

New bios . Support AES enabled and Disabled .

Btw. I don't have any special bios for OC . "Official bios" enabled all options & oc functions.

After research I think I'm going to get the Team 2666 thoughts?

hmm, interesting, wonder why my multi seems locked according to cpuz vs yours. even though im using the Z97M OCF, in not looking to go extreme, my multi range in cpuz shows 8-32x on my G3258. even when the bios shows on the main tab a clock speed of 4.28ghz for the set 42x multi, get into windows and it shows 3.26ghz in cpuz/realtemp/coretemp with a current 32x multi.

Second 4790K, much better than the first.

Pretty sure there is more gas in the tank, will retest with cold PSC and see where we end up

Tuning some Samsung on the same chip @ air:
