Watercooling the R9 290x with universal block

    Good day,

I am planing to Jump on the bandwagon to the red team soon, I'll buy triple r9 290x Sapphire cards to upgrade my triple GTX680 4GB.

Currently I am water cooling my GTX680 with EK Supreme VGA HF universal GPU water block and want to use the same solution with the R9 290x cards.
The problem is....the R9 290X VRM...how on earth would you cool that!

ON the GTX680 I slapped seom swiftech MC21 Mosfet Heatsinks on the VRMs with a 14mm 800 RPM fan blowing air on them but not so sure these would work with the R9 290x Monster VRMs!

Any idea on how to cool them?

    Hello!

Remember X1800 and X1900 (XT) cards? Get the VRM heat sink from it:

I use the same in my OC experiments: http://hwbot.org/submission/2532928_....76_dx11_marks

I do remember these cards....at the time they were considered power hungry!

I was thinking of GELID Solutions Enhancement Kit...though I wish if EK would provide RAM and VRM heatsinks in the future!
