Ran into a fsb wall at 124, had to raise volt and lower memory.

Nice. How far can you get?

I've read someone at AT forums mention something along the lines of 2.7 ghz with +0.2v, which took power consumption from around 20-25w to 65w... still negligible and these should be plenty fast at those clocks. Probably pushing it considering it's 28nm silicon at those volts... but what the hell! These are cheap!

2.5 ghz at 1.3v seems to be a nice middle spot.

Working on it... yes 0.2v is a lot for these. I just gave mine +0.01v to get past a fsb wall at 124 Mhz. gonna push it a little more now..

Cant get past 125-130 gave it +0.05v no luck. Can boot at 2666 MHz but cant get into windows. Think I must tweak the northbridge a little to go any further. Guess its harder to OC these since they have the GPU in the same chip.

A 25% OC is all there is this evening. Will have a second look into it tomorrow!

So how much it does on stock voltage ? 2460 ?

    Thanks for the testing fng77!

I probably missed it somewhere, but what mobo are you using that lets you adjust the HTRef clock?
I recently built a NAS rig with an ASRock AM1 mobo, and although I didn't even try to OC it, I didn't see any kind of OC'ing features in the bios...
In fact I didn't even see any tweaks for the bus clock!

At 2.5 GHz, it's only 2 seconds slower in the 1M compared to my FX-6300 at 4.1GHz!

The only mobos so far that are known to allow OCing like this are the asus ones. The OP stated having one of these in another thread. Others (msi IIRC) can do a paltry 4-5 mhz OC on the bclk before getting unstable, similar to what happens on sandy/ivy/haswell

Wow! Thats fun to hear! These chips are so damn small They run very, very cool too. The minimal heatsink is barley warm under load. Should be very fun to really push it, with a bigger heatsink, and high volt

I just love these Strecom chassis, so slim in everyway, not much space left but the thing is, the cpu is cold anyway, even under load.. But i guess I can get it colder for some more more OC testing.

    Ok Guys day two!

Couldnt get past the wall at 125! Tried to lower memory ratio no luck... Tried to lower multiplier no luck.. Jolted it with 0.05+ volt, 0.07+ no luck..

Got mad and wet to the wardrobe got a real fan and set that up. Cranked up the volt to 0.1+ Success! Got past the 125 wall, now I?m at 130, but with lower multi. Temps are not bad, around 37-40 idle.
