Whatever it is it's one of those supposed quad cores, that's obvious, but that's all I can tell from my limited knowledge.

Kabini's been out for a while, just not in socket form. Or are you referring to something else?

This is the FIRST time I actually am excited about what AMD is going to release. I use to remember that feeling a long time ago during the P4 years......

Holding off on buying a Xeon 1270 just so I might see what's on offer from AMD with this new tech being released. Unlike my brethren here on this forum, I still hold a candle on my window sill showing my support for them so that one day they'll take on the might of Intel and show them what real performance truly is .

Well yes, but it wouldnt make much sense to introduce a product to be obsolete in a month.Or its just one of those "previews" with chips available to actually buy in 8 months.
And while i like kabini and will probably beema also unless AMD makes some bold moves like 8core beema with powerfull GPU with GDDR5 so in essence PS4 chip just BETTER it isnt going to be that interesting just another "bump" in amd product stack. If its beema with impending retail availability and i would just bought Am1 5350, i would be pissed.

I recall them saying the new puma cores weren't coming to am1 right away.
And really, you'd be pissed that a $60 chip went obsolete so fast?

Of course, thats just dishonest. But i doubt that we will see these cpus in actual products in the few days it remains to this "mystery".

Thats a safe bet, they cant do this on 20nm unfortunately.Only "biggish" question i think, will it have HSA like kaveri.

    http://wccftech.com/amd-power-mullin...ches-tomorrow/

now lets see some manufactures actually use it in cool design wins, hopefully since they got the power levels in check they will.

id love to see an nvidia sheild type gaming device with this chip, or some sort of mobile gaming tablet for like $300-$400

    edit: some real reviews
