Just because I heard a lot of mixed info on the Gene7, is 1T possible for you with the MFR Team?

Not sure, I actually boxed the M7G up to send back to Amazon. With the Devil's Canyon BIOS for the M6E, I simply don't need the Gene anymore.

Decided to play with these on Ivy Bridge-E. Surprisingly 32GB of DDR3-2666 posed no challenge for my 4930k's IMC even with the CPU overclocked to around 4.7GHz.

Can someone tell me the height of the memory module? I'm looking at getting a set of these and potentially a DH-15, so I need to know if it will clear them. Can't the top part of the heat spreader be removed?

I'm traveling for a few days but if you haven't received a reply by the time I get back I'll post the measurements for you. As for the top part of the spreaders, these are one piece so no, you can't remove the top part like you can on the G.Skill Trident X Series.

Ok thanks. I Guess the other alternative would be the F3-2400C10D-16GTX, which I assume are capable of 2660 cas 11.

Actually no, unless G.Skill has changed the ICs it uses on that kit. Every pic I've seen of them have a serial indicating Samsung 4Gbit ICs which struggle to get higher than DDR3-2550. Honestly if you're looking for DDR3-2400C10 sticks of the 8GB variety that can overclock to 2666+ and won't cause issues with large CPU heatsinks, you actually may want to take a look at Patriot Viper 3.

Yes, there are no other ICs that can do these specs on 8GB modules.

TeamGroup will most likely be single-sided Samsung (2400C10) and single-sided Hynix (2666C11). On the other hand, 2600C10 TridentX are dual-sided Samsung, which is a much better choice.

2600 CL10 kits are more expensive because they're much better.
I'd buy the kits you listed in the following order:
    2600 CL10
    2666 CL11
    2400 CL10
Well, to be honest I wouldn't buy the 2400 CL10 kit at all. I think it's build with the same chips as the TridentX kit with the same specification.

The 2666 CL11 kit should work very well with the G3258!
    Just don't buy the 2400 CL10 kit!

    I got the team 2400c10 16g kit, it can run 2666 cl11 13 13 & 2800 c12 14 14 1.65v too. So it's either Hynix mfr or new Samsung. Cheers
