Looks good except for 2 8 pin connectors. They need another 8 pin in the mix to reduce draw from the pcie express.
2 8 pins was good enough for 375 watts. Not 500.
Atleast they are making it a true x2 with regards to clocks. AMD seems to be addressing enthusiast a lot better than safe Nvidia.

valid point...more 8 pins are always needed
I wonder what will happen if that Mini "heat exchanger" bathes in the cold

Damn 500w!!!
Hmm its going to be tricky to fit this in some cases who already have liquid cooling for the cpu.
I suspect anybody who is going to buy this card will slap a custom water block on it anyways.

I wouldn't be surprised if this card retailed around $2K, more maybe less, but I'm guessing 2K is the price point. I don't see this card being $1.5K but who knows?

Ugh. Wccftech. Anytime anything is posted on there involving AMD/nVidia or AMD/Intel - all the trolls come out of the woodwork. That comment section is just painful to read - i mean...seriously? If this card is indeed even $999, for the performance you get, that's damn good value.

I refuse to participate in any debate with creationists because doing so would give them the "oxygen of respectability" that they want.
Creationists don't mind being beaten in an argument. What matters to them is that I give them recognition by bothering to argue with them in public.
Yah it is pretty funny. However they consistently post stuff well before anybody else.
Just make a habit at stopping at the Twitter message box at the end. Don't go any further lol

come on AMD 1299$ is a fair price !!!! MAKE EM AND SHIP EM IN LOADS !!!!
Hello, I am now a registered user and can post!
On topic: The price will be high, 1500$ is the mark to aim.
The problem is they use comment on the forums as the under comment of the front pages articles.. peoples are posting things like it was in the forum and it seems they dont want to moderate it, so you end with things like that.. troll from AMD, troll from Nvidia, troll from Intel etc ... Even the writer of the article, then, in then middle of the comments, write a new one ( he dont want add this to the article, so just write a post in the forum in the middle of all this ... ) ... Personally i have nothing against some joke who have been posted in the comments.. but some posts are really outside reality and far beyond stupidity.
Well, they report as articles many things who come from chinese, taiwan, forum / sites, the problem is they post too many bad information, disinformations, and joke from them.. chineses community like to play with the informations, fake mixed with right infos. Its sometimes really hard for us to do the difference if the guy post it as a joke, or an information, disinformations ( sometimes some emoticon or other words, and subtility can put you on the way ( different mentality ) .... So on the end.... i m not sure the ammount of right infos posted was superior of the fakes infos they have use for done articles in the front page. ( in reality with all the fakes and contradictory informations about AMD and Nvidia cards, im not sure they are really credible on the end ... ANd well maybe this is why you cant even write a link of there articles in many known sites ( banned, all you will end is with ******** instead of the link) ..

Not really. They mostly re-post other articles, and sometimes translate posts from Chinese forums.
Either way, quality of material makes them a waste of time.
I'd rather see this card in triple-slot design like Titan Z. Nice to see a more premium-looking cooler nonetheless.

$1200 is still too high for a dual gpu card. I think $700 for a dual and $400 for a single is reasonable, a lot of you guys have more money than sense.
If they are packing all of these in a suitcase like that, I have a feeling the price is going to be 1500. However it's easily justified since Nvidia went crazy on Titan Z pricing. Plus I think AMD probably needed to bin a bit to get it to fit in a 500watt envelope(this is kind of lol).
They should have went with a double wide radiator or a 240 length radiator. The card is so big, that they are only going to put these in big cases. The Ares 2 had a double wide radiator, this needs that and then some.

When did $1500-3000 for top end gear (re-hashed no less) become the norm?

Is that what they are telling the organization that certification for pci-express?
No way is this going to be a 350 watt card.
This card at 350watt would throttle like crazy. This thing if its running at its true boost clocks is going to hit that 500 watt comfortably. Heck given the right load it could probably hit 600+.
