It is likely that they just twisted some words around in the marketing department and what they meant is more along the lines of: You can use it to cool components with a combined rated TDP of 450W while keeping them at a temperature slightly lower than the stock cooler manages.

About time they changed the GTS. They were terrible radiators before. They seem much more appealing to me now.

they were not terrible. in fact i still have them in my loop. you just need to run them with high speed fans. it's basically a single layer GTX, but to make up for the lost layer, they increased the fin count, to compensate for the same amount of heat exchange rate. and to get all that air through, you need high speed fans. it's most ideal for people working with limited space. i have mine setup with fan profile that throttles from 800rpm to 2000rpm according to CPU load. but performance wise, it performs on par or even outperforms common popular dual layer rads. i learned all this from martin.

however, i do have to say that i have doubts that the new Nemesis GTS will be able to match the Nemesis GTX in high rpm. on paper alone, the fin counts are the same between GTS/GTX Nemesis. but i could be wrong. hopefully new reviews will start popping out. there're those of us working with limited space who are interested in the single layer Rad.

This day and age people want quiet systems. High FPI just ain't cool anymore.

HWLabs is as good as you can get for radiator build quality. So can't really get better radiators than this.

that's a good point, however, the higher FPI GTS has shown to out perform many dual layer Rads in the same size class. so it is "cool" for those who want to squeeze out a few more degress of performance, after all, one of the main reason one go through all the trouble to convert a system from stock to water cooling. and secondly, PWM takes care of all the issues with noise. my system is setup to throttle from 1000rpm to 2000rpm, just as any stock HSF setup.

high FPI isn't for everyone, but for many who work with limited space, there really isn't any other solution other than a thinner rad, higher FPI, and PWM fan.
