    Are CPU Temps right?

    Hi guys.

I recently upgraded my cooling to WC.

    CPU Block - XSPC RayStorm.
GPU Block : EK R9-290X full cover Acetal.
Radiators: XSPC RX360 v2 Rad and Swiftech 240MM RAD.
Pump+ Reservoir: Swiftech D5 and XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir V2.
    tubing : Primochill
I would upload pics but somehow I am unable to upload pics to forum at all, it goes like this:
PUMP+RES --> XSPC Radiator --> CPU BLOCK --> Swiftech RAD --> GPU BLOCK.
Whereas the gpu temps are Fantastic- never ever above 41c - ambient is about 20-22c now here. Also VRM-s Are pretty low: never exceeding 35 c, CPU Temos are way bellow my expectations:
I am running 3770K at 4800Mhz 1.240 VCORE and I am getting as High As 80C.
Is this Normal or way above what was to be expected when I moved to wc?
    Thanks in advance!!!

Pretty normal at that overclock. The CPU just can't dissipate all the heat no matter how good the watercooling, remember that poor tim between the chip and the heatspreader? I'm sure you read about that. 80C is still way within the max heat. Your fine.
All stock for now, no need for more, but it's gonna be soon methinks.

Seems like you're going to have to delid that cpu, those temps are unacceptable for watercooling. At least in my book. But I'm out of the game so what do I know.

As far as desired overclock is stable and cpu doesn't throttle imho simpler to leave things as is. Yes, deliding and replacing ty stock TIM1 with LM may bring some 15-20C less, but if you don't intent to squeeze out every last MHz you can and cpu doesn't throttle frequencies because of overheat, why bother just for lesser number.

Yes that cpu temp is way way to hot. The worst temps I ever got was 60c when I had mine at 52% overlock and stressing it at 100% at all cores with my make shift cheap setup. Are you sure the block is seated all the way? I would at the least take it off, put new paste on the cpu, and re seat it.
