Where those on air. If so, that's even more insane.

It will be a crying shame if these don't make it to retail as has been said.

I know you have the Ti gtx 780 lightning, i'm wanting to get the gtx780 lightning, I know there's more cuda cores and plainly faster card your card...

im coming from a 7970 msi lightning Boosted edition, basically for just a good fast card for fast excucutions even with no gamming the gtx 780 lightning should do the job far better the my 7970 lightning...
    what do ya think?
    Thanks Eagle101

I have 780s as well. For a gamer at 1080p you don't need anything more imo

That is one serious piece of hardware you have there. I had no idea they could clock that high without LN2. Very nice.

splave: dont want to highjack your thread, but regarding your 780's:

are this lightnings or something else? curious if a non (ti) 780 lightning is able to reach such clocks as your 780ti lightning if put under similar conditions (1?C water). msi tells us this cards are specially binned? are they?

anyway, voltage should not be the issue if we'r talking about lightnings! have two brand new non (ti) 780 lightnings here and simply don't know if i should buy some waterblocks and install them or sell the cards and go for a ti even if i wont be able to get a ti lightning!

also, whats the asics quality of your card? don't know if this even tells something, but getting the figure is just a click away ...

anyway, great card this 780ti lightning! too bad it's not in production!

I see they used a new heatsink.
On the 680l, the heatsink gets in the way of tri-sli bridges.
Just curious, does the 780 ti lightning heatsink get in the way of tri-sli adapters too?

Nope heatsink is flush with the edge of the card

that''s a rather hypothetical question. regarding to various sources, msi manufactured just 12 pieces of this card. don't get me wrong, but if you are the lucky one to get hold of three of them: you are the man!

That it is may, but I still think it was a valid ? .
It was an issue I discovered after I had gotten 2 680 lightnings, excellent heatsink but a small problem, can't use the 2nd sli connector with it.
Even though it's got 2, you just can't use it lmao .
I planned on going water cooling anyways eventually but you know, I thought it was kinda goofy.

    @Splave
Cool beans , I'm glad they fixed that.

I had been waiting for this card for so long I gave up and decided that togo with a 2nd 680.
Still working on that though :\, kinda regret doing the hard mod I did on my original card.
Ohwell live and learn, I'de like switch to the k5000, heard that vga pass through works on it and it doesn't have the dl-dvi issue that the k2's have with older vga bios'es.

Can you get us some vga bios dumps of that card (780ti lightning) just for the heck of it?
Or would that violate an nda or something?

Man I only just bought a pair of Ti Classifieds last week too (after waiting for ever for these) ....

Very nice results too, I was going to do the same (with uni block).

BTW - those asking about 780 (non-Ti) Lightning, mine was a very poor clocker, I sold it again very quickly...

IM HEART BROKEN NOW...I was just ready to get the 780 msi lightning 1 card only, getting ready to sell my msi 7970 lightning....
im sure the 780 lightning is far better than my 7970 lightning....?

*just noticed on newegg there are 2 msi780 lightnings the better one Core Clock: 980MHz
Boost Clock: 1033MHz has 3 fans the yellow fan in middle.

is this the one that was poor clocking for you aussie or the 780 lightning with 2 fans?
    Thanks Drag Racer
