    955be enough for crossfire?

    mobo: msi 970 g46
    gpu: amd 6870 core 1ghz/ mem 1140 arctic twin turbo (6850 coming soon for franken-fire)
    cpu: 955be @ 3.8ghz @ 1.375v's 2.6ghz n/b 1.275 scythe scrt-1000
    ram: 2x2gb samsung hyko @ 800mhz @ 6-8-8-24
    psu: corsair 650hx
    hdd's: 500gb + 1tb ( 16 and 32mb cache ) samsung

    with the above specs in mind, could my cpu power ( @ 3.8ghz cpu and 2.6ghz nb ) a 6870+6850 crossfire setup? thank you in advance.

    gpu: rx580 1366/2000
    cpu: ryzen 1700 @ 3.8ghz
    ram: 32 gb gskill 2400 @ 3000
    psu: coarsair 1kw
    hdd's: samsung 500gb ssd 1tb & 3tb hdd

    I don't have hard numbers on that specific configuration, but I would say that you'd get a good performance boost. The vast majority of games are not terribly CPU-bound, and your proc is still relatively strong. Go for it!
