i was surprised myself 4.7 was pushing it but the bios did fix a lot of issues waiting to see if they can address some more that i found

wow, very nice. Superpi is really quickly . Can your chip run 1M at 4900 MHz? Its max what I got, only once from maybe 10 try .

the same at A88X PRO side, need new BIOS ...Finally I got new DRAMs for higher clocks. At Intel working OK, hope with AMD can rush 2600 MHz.

I have no experience with Kaveri IMC, but Richland can run (6800K) memory at 2666+ MHz for some benchmarks.

got new beta bios f5c which improves memory performance but in the bios the memory drive has settings which has no description





memory overclock is looking good tho but this was a bios request for hynix so im going to test that next

Also did you had time to test how high IGP can clock when frozen?

it took the fun out the chip surprisingly it didn't scale the way i hoped. And when the "cold bug " came the board just goes blank no readout on the post code or nothing.

So what's Cinebench benchable dice frequency?

Unfortunately higher BCLK doesn't change nothing on Kaveri CB.

msimax, did u have tested memory oc under cold? My sample doesn't improve nothing on memory oc @ -40C compared to air cooling (2640MHz max) and my rams are good for 2800+. I'm still not sure if i'm doing something wrong or it simply doesn't scale...

PS: -50C cb / -45C cbb here. ASUS A88X-PRO motherboard.

i tried everything from jacking the volts up to control temps theres just a hard wall and with memory im still trying to get mem timings sorted out on the board before i rule any thing out..

Also walling here, no mater the type of RAM/settings I use at around 2520MHz with the A88X Sniper board... FYI memtest 7 just hardlocks...

No matter what I tried, I just can't boot into windows over 2520MHz...

Noms mate you got a good IMC going there...

This CPU is running tighter clock per clock versus my 6800K. However it would have been even more fun if it could 2600ish memory speeds... guess not...

I'll be picking up a 7850K and Asus A88X Pro tomorrow so hopefully next week I'll have time to try out the RAM wall and see what I can come up with.

Thank you for the info msimax! With that cold bug around atleast there is more room for better ratings on hwbot with air/h2o. :-) But I'd liked to see it scaling better aswell.

msimax, I was wondering if you had any experience with benchmarking this set-up against a multiplayer BF4 map (after a decent overclock... not stock speeds)... I ask because I am contemplating building with this CPU/mobo set-up for my HTPC which I intend to game at 1080p with (BF4). I'm addicted needless to say I'd like to see high settings at 30fps plus if possilbe... I would obviously overclock this set-up to it's limit.
