Why block out the socket and mobo name? They both under NDA?

These aren't next gen products but rather engineering mules. The final designs will look quite a bit different.

They make a good product. However they do need to get cracking and release their G1 Killer ITX board ASAP.

I like to see working prototypes, it provides some insight on the thought process behind why something is made the way it is.

Well, well, well....if those first pics were Rev 0.2 beta samples, it seems that the final revision retail models are ready for launch. We took a sneak peak at GIGABYTE Z*7X-SOC Force, G1 Gaming, UD7TH and UD5H-BK...

Final revision GIGABYTE next gen mobo's ready for retail

They changed the G1's style and made it red and black...

I'm curious though, I only see one board there with the 10gbs M2 slot there. Isn't SSD through PCI-E and the ability to finally get past the SATA 3 spec for speeds the selling point of z97 over z87.

Dont like the placement of the ATX connector on the mini-ITX, when they place it that close to the RAM you usually get too constricted to use a pico ATX power supply.

Hoping these will launch soon. My current P67 board SATA ports are starting to crap out by giving me random I/O errors now when trying to boot the OS.

I've really liked the past two that I've owned.

My only gripes have been the pwm fan controls and in the case of my Z77 ud5 memory overclocking.

Use the marvel controller (if you have it) or sata150 ports.

Both my Intel Sata300 ports gave out finally two weeks ago. Funny that, since the issue was supposedly fixed on the rev2 boards.

Will the bios on the gigabyte boards not suck before the 5th version comes out?

I wish Gigabyte would make mATX boards that are not toxic green... Their orange boards are quite pretty.

I actually like the green. Red and black was interesting when it was just EVGA, but then ASUS ROG, MSI Gaming, ECS L33T, ASRock Fatality, and now Gigabyte G1 gaming. I guess it kinda helps, you can always tell someone is a member of "e4t l33t, r1c3r out the YOUR PC" club when you see red around it and know to laugh a bit, but it's boring. IMHO the MSI mpower, Gigabyte G1 (old green style, but not with the gun heatsinks), old ECS Black, or the new Gigabyte goldish yellow/orange are all a lot more understated and nice. I like case windows, and my wiring jobs are a damn nightmare. But it's nice to be able to just look at my case and read the debug LED if something went wrong, also love not having to open the case door to see what my water/coolant levels are. The fact that everything is now red is a bit... bland.

Though I guess there's something to be said for an industry standard color scheme.

Hell even the gigabyte bullets on heatsinks wasn't as stupid as the majority of paint jobs people toss on their cases. Plus you can cover that crap up and avoid broadcasting the idiocy to the world. I liked the Sniper 5 series, the heatsinks were non idiotic and it actually looked rather nice, their original G1 X58 crap was utter white trash style. Just missing a half naked woman air brushed on the side and a fat man next to it wearing an "I'm with stupid" shirt. A lot of the "gamer" stuff just screams trailer park lately.
