    Format a SSD?

I want to start from scratch, should I format my SSD before I install my OS?

    Thanks as always,

I would secure erase it, then format it. You can usually find a toolbox from the vendor who sold you the SSD

You can secure erase any SSD with OCZ Tools (linux based). Then format it and make sure to align it. Try 1024k. Is the average best option . After installation are some tweaks. After just secure erasing, your SSD shpuld perform like new
