Seagate 600 RAID0 low 4k write performance
Hi, I have a 4770k at stock speeds on a z87i-deluxe, and two Seagate 600 240gb ssds on the intel sata ports with a 128kb stripe. I've made sure to enable write caching and turn off windows write-cache buffer flushing. However, my 4k write speeds aren't faster than a single drive. I also have all the latest drivers installed. Any ideas?

Sometimes you need to uncheck write caching restart, recheck write caching and restart. What driver version are you using? look here http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/58...ort/index.html this is a review I did. You have a good array there.

For the orom, I'm using 12.0.0.1783. For rst, I'm using 12.9.0.1001

Is enable write caching in the device manger or RST?
You need to set it in the RST to get the same write rate as the tweaktown article. As for 4k read your right on target.

Why are you benching 4k ???
How many files you got that are 4k in size?
Is your cluster size 4k? (could be if you left it as default...)
Anyways... lol.
You can add as many as drives as you want you'll never get higher 4k speeds with a 128k strip size.
The strip size would have to be 2k for 2 drives, 1k for 4 drives... and so on.
Either set 16k, 32k or 64k...
128k sure fine whatever right?
But you'll never get higher 4k write speeds like that, just saying that's not how it works.
Besides you wouldn't wanna optimize for 4k, that's just goofy going for the sweet spot were ssd's have speed issues (4k)...
Sorry if I sound like an arse though lol .
