Wearable Computing - Sensors/Computers/Input Devices Update

I think wearable computing is about to have a breakthrough as small sensors are starting to achieve compelling capability and thanks to low-power bluetooth viable connectivity to compute platforms in the form of smartphones. I have also long believed there is an opportunity for a true wearable PC however the hold of Windows on the PC has meant that if Microsoft didn't want it, it wasn't going to happen. Well, thanks to Steambox, and the now compute equivalence of Android devices we are seeing the possibility of powerful computers without a screen and ultra portable compute devices. The NVIDIA Shield is a great example of a handheld computer designed to be ultimately portable and is one step away from being wearable. Google glass is fully integrated and wearable, but the added stigma of its combined integrated camera/face placement/integrated screen may create challenges to adoption. However - generations next are willing to do things, and wear things that generation now thinks are mental.

AllThingsD just picked up the story of the Notch on Kickstarter and the Athos - both targeting wearable sensors and a precursor for wearable computing interfaces. The peregrine glove with a wireless interface, small wearable pointers, and wearable screens may all be soon to see their day.

It could be some time, they have figured out out some nano sensors but I haven't seen anyone try to make a product out of them.
I'm most interested in thermoelectric clothes.
