If i am not wrong we can make crossfire with 7970 and 290 or 290x. If so what should be the w of psu?
I got 3770k, 16gb ram, 1 ssd, 1 hdd, x-fi titanium with 7970 lightning. These are the parts i feed with my coarsair HX850. You can assume all are stock. Is this enough or should i also upgrade my psu too?

Your PSU is fine for crossfire if you don't overclock....Otherwise, if you overclock you might need a 1k watt psu for absolute stability. Your power-supply and therefore power delivery system is something you absolutely don't want to be cheap about.
I mean...850 W is so close to enough...but might just barley might not be enough.
