    Z87OC Formula + L1.83A (single core success!)

So after wounding a cpu, Nick sent a bios that boots 1c with ht enabled and that allowed this cpu which would hang on post code 79 to boot.

Here is a link to the bios so anyone with a wounded cpu can try:

    http://www.filedropper.com/z87singlecore

Cpu is now a good 32M cpu (due to no 4c 4t or 4c 8t) and light 3D, but the IMC seems to want to drop some mhz on the top end, there might be some moar in it, but let's keep the remaining cores alive

This run was done with my 2200 c7's which I know can run 2600 6-9-6-21 but I guess at frequency these things are not so easy.

    Voltages that were used:

1.695v vcore and 1.6v cache with vdimm at 2.15v

And a quickie valid with low volts:

Thanks Nick for the awesome bios that brought this gem back

^Thanks Bully, much easier with the SF3D Inflection over the Venom for control and it seemed to run a lower cb over the Venom as well.

Strong CPU and of course strong motherboard. I like my ASRock Z87 OC Formula.
Is it special BIOS for wounded CPU or is it might be good for any CPUs?

Forgive for my English because I only learn it

It is a special bios and I would just use it for the wounded cpu's, but I don't think it would hurt to try with healthy specimens.

dont worry , it will not harm your cpu

it just force to boot 1 core with default bios setting .

u can enabled all core back by the cpu setting page .

this bios can boot the core damaged cpu and make it to do some single thread benching
