From a strictly budget-system oriented view, their offerings are very unappealing when comapred in price to their Intel counterparts (Specifically, their lower priced chips have too little cache compared to equivalently priced 1155/1150 Pentiums), and this problem is only compounded by the fact that they keep releasing new sockets in too short intervals. Suppliers could barely get rid of their old FM1 stock before they released FM2, and now they want to release FM3? Who in their right mind would build any kind of AMD desktop today?
