Is anyone else finding MCM incredibly hard on their CPUs? I woke up this morning to the E5645s sitting at 87'c, as opposed to their normal ~75'c.

Not that I've noticed, though the only one I monitor is this A6-3600 AMD. The rest I have no idea.

Heh, I'm sitting at 8.3 PPH But I'm going to rip this project to pieces

I'm almost at my silver badge already, I forgot how dedicating everything to one project makes the badges fly by

My Boinc has dropped from an avg 25k a day to 18k and 19k last 2 days. Less than 1 page of Pending Verification, no errors or invalids and the same a little over 3 pages Pending Validation. Doing 1/2 MCM and 1/2 FA@H/CEP2. Numbers down on every machine.
Same here. This project just doesn't return as well points wise as the Vina FAAH jobs. I don't REALLY care, as it's the work that's the goal here not points of no real world value, but it is unfortunate that it lines up with SC week.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
a 24% drop when the farm is only doing 1/2 MCM is worrisome. Points are not my main concern but I really did not want to see them go down so much. Not too sure I want to go 100% MCM. May stay 50/50.
I dropped from 80K WCG to 50 odd. That's a big hit.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I posted in the MCM forum over at WCG, but I don't know if it will achieve anything.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
If anyone is still using it, I posted a new version of wcgdaws that fixes the login problem and includes the new project.
Thanks, I was hopeing for a fix.

According to Sekerob Linux-64 is getting hammered on MCM. Almost all the MCM for me have been, wait for it.......Linux-64.
@anubis. Well that sums it up pretty well. I had seen others talking about lower points just never thought it would be this bad.
Oh well, hopefully something will get changed. If not then I guess I get lower points.

Well I am putting my Linux 64 on FA@H and CEP2, as many people will dump them to get badges. Windows machines will be MCM only. Hopefully my points won't suffer so dramatically and I'll get my sapphire soon enough.
I'm really all about the work. It's why I started and it's why I'm still doing it. There are better projects if I was a shallow so-and-so and only hunting for BOINC credit, but cancer work is why I came so I'll be running these till they run dry. It's just a shame about the timing.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I'll wait for total runtime to settle back near normal before deciding to run more than just this project or not but 2/3rds of normal points is what I see so far and that was the reason I ran only vina since it became available

Project is paused for a few days - techs need to improve random number generation:

I can run these down then and maybe get a shed load of new betas when they re-trial
new beta badge... the hardest of all badges to get !!

Oh well, guess I better go allow other work for a while then. Won't do to run out this week.

Keep 'em on standby just in case .... no work selected except beta and send other work not ticked.
can't see it taking more than a few days to fix really

Well I've got 20 cores that are only available till the wife comes home from holiday. Fixed time frame corresponding mostly with SC Week by accident. Once she comes home they're down again. It's not just the noise, power has become stupid expensive here and I need to be careful.
