I will tell you my rive has busted sound ports eithernet port busted i lose quad channel once in a while and the board still benches like a banshee we all know asus rma support sucks so i lived with its broken parts.

That said i could not hold out for the BE so i got another rive for my 4930k this week hopefully that one is a workhorse too.

I should probably test the 16gb of c9- tridentx I got a while back for this config before the time comes.
God knows if I have to rma it could take up to 2 months to get a replacement from gskill :\, though they do have excellent support.

Does anyone have a bios dump of this board?
Reason I ask is because of the supposed boot times with both the rive and be.
I think I can fix that with a mod if I can find the relevant code, being that this board has 2 bios chips and bios flashback there should be no issue with modding it.
Though it's been a long time :\, that leaked bios src from a while back should help me find the post tables.
It's a long shot though, just figured I'de ask.

Right now I'm kinda busy messing with my phone since yesterday , I'm learning more and more about that platform as time goes on.
I just figured it would give me something else todo.
I was working on a nvidia bios editor, plan on getting back to work on that pretty soon too.
Ahk was giving me some headaches so I gave it a break.

You could do the mod yourself if you wanted.
Change the 8253 timer as such, here's and example:

From my testing and of others way back when, 1.5x seemed to be the fastest and safest value for everyone without dropping drives.
Any faster and some people would drop there drives on post.
If say the board takes 20 secs to post, it should post now in 15secs or less.
Another method is to start replacing any port delays with nop's.
Example, award's old speedy ver of an io delay replaced for even less of a delay with nops:

I heard EK is working on waterblocks for this board as well, any news from them?

I've heard the same, 2 piece block.
Saw it ref'ed on ocn I think it's called.

I heard that the 2400c10 can be hynix mfr single sidded, that's why i went with the cas9.
But you got 32gigs of it, you won't have any sort of so called single sidded bandwith limits with that .
If it is mfr, it should clock nice .

I'm hoping for 2600c9 or 2800c9, gonna shoot for 2400c9 1st right away though.

A board block would be nice, out of my budget right now though.
I've got a block for one of my 2 gpu's though, need a 2nd and everything else .
I'm actually leaning towards one of those 9x120 or 4x180mm rads..., just not sure if it'll fit on the side of my case, seen some peeps using them externally though and they look nice.
With such a setup I could just throw the rad in my crawl space under the house or something .
Water cooling seems nice, but initially expensive .

(I even flirted with the idea of heating my driveway, or a garden/greenhouse for the winter using my pc)

Looks like my kit has samsung ICs, 2500 if the sticky is correct. I planned on grabbing a 2666c10 dominator kit but was unable to locate any.

Same here, I also got the 2500 serials on my 4 sticks.
Mine are the 4x4gig 2400c9's.
Pretty sure they are the samsung hyk0's, no date given on the labels though but guessing form the 2500 serial it probably is the hyk0.
Earlier ver's with 1500 serials are supposedly hch9 that supposedly climbed a bit higher because they handled higher voltage better.
These hyk0's are supposedly binned pretty good and should be somewhat comparable.

Your 32gig set, are they 8 sticks?
I'm just guessing it must be.

I have a tracking number from Newegg, should arrive on Thursday. Not sure why they are taking a while to open up normal sales, perhaps they sold out of their first shipment, this has a lot of hype for a motherboard.

I am very excited to get to work on this motherboard. Curious about what VTT and VCCSA are under the auto setting for ddr2400 speeds.

Well I just ordered my brothers hardrive, a retail boxed wd red 2tb (newegg, they don't sell these locally I looked...).
I was afraid of getting a bad drive with the oem models, then rma'ing it only to get a used non-functional drive so I paid double (pretty much) the price and got the retail boxed ver instead.

Now I just gotta test my memory, I think I got all the instabilities of this board out of the way (no more bsod's when dl'ing cod:ghosts...).
16gigs to test, yikes...
My vga cards I got just about done messing with, now I just have to find my thermal gel and redo it on the new card, and pop off 2 resisters to change the device id so it matches with my 1st card.

Man it sucks waiting for that black edition board though .

You guys gotta post some picks if you get one .
