CRC PCB water proofing

Have been looking for a while for something to insulate back sides of motherboards etc for a while besides vaseline and this stuff fits the bill in every category.

Thought I would try it on the backside of my 32m card first.



1 thick coat and dries fully within 12 hours, doesnt crack or web when I bend the pcb a little bit and not easily flaked off.
You can kind of see the thickness near the PCI-E fingers which were taped off.



Used primarily to seal and prevent shorts with water but seems to bead it up nicely as well.




Will apply to a mobo next and update how it stands up to ln2

Not sure bro.

Plastik 70 will eventually peel off, bit by bit. But it will hold a few subzero sessions.

Try a few LN2 sessions and check if it's intact

Not the same as Plastik 70 (which seems not to be available in the United States)...
Polyurethane vs acrylic.

MG Chem makes similar conformal coatings, just recently introduced the "premium" polyurethane and acrylic ones, not for sale yet

Yep, I've used it on the back of my Commando, no problem even when going full pot. I know hipro5 used it on his boards/VGAs as well.

So this on back with neoprene, towels and the Dragon Skin on top with neoprene, towels should be the cleanest and safest setup for benching, correct?
