I have not upgraded my pc in a few years still have a X58 with I7 920 i have been out of the loop for a while what would you suggest for cpu and motherboard upgrade
what are the best combos nowadas for gaming.A LGA 1150 4770 or 3820 LGA 2011 whats the newest socket from the two?
What is your budget?

4770K + Z87 motherboard = Awesome. The X79 is older (Ivy Bridge-E) but has more PCI-E lanes and quad channel memory.
