    Upgrade worth it?

Hey, I have a Pentium G2120 3.1Ghz Ivy Bridge which i gotta say has performed really well in games etc much better than i thought it would but i bought it as a stand in cpu until i could afford an I5. I've been pricing up I5's and the only one i can really afford is the I5-3470 Which is clocked at 3.2Ghz....I was wondering if there would be worth it to upgrade to this? I do a fair amount of gaming and tbh not a whole lot else on the computer. Thanks.

    What motherboard?

Either way, get a used 3570K from eBay or a Forum F$ section or Craigslist IMO. Easily found for less than the $189ish for 3470.

Thanks for the reply. I can't really afford anything more than the 3470 as i have a voucher for a specific store for around the same amount that they stock the 3470 the next chip they have is the expensive I7 which is much out of my price range.

In all honesty, I wouldn't bother. Invest the $$$ in something like an SSD instead...it'll give you more seat-of-your-pants improvement.
