    AMD 290x launched today...

    "AMD has said the video cards can saturate a PCIe 3.0 x16 bus bandwidth; 16GB/s bi-directional. " ... and there is no AMD chipset that supports this natively.

    That is just so depressing.

    you are wrong a bit....FM2+ and Kaveri has PCIe 3.0. There is it no about chipset, but about CPU (PCIe is integrated in CPU)

    Kaveri isn't out yet.

    And PCIE 2.0 x16 is enough for two 290x

    yes, cheap ultrahighend card. But I have not good monitor for this monstrum. 1920x1080 is nothing ...

    So how do you guys think Nvidia responds to this? What do you think they will price the 780ti at? My guess is it will be a little faster than the 290x. But do they leave it at the 780's current $649, or drop it to $599?

    If it's a little faster means it's in the Titan area since the 290x is somewhere around Titan (somewhere better somewhere worse etc.). Maybe the Ti replaces the Titan at the lower price point...
