Disappointing launch, what's the point in launching a product with no stock, it's impossible to find these in stock. Just don't launch till you can provide supply.

This is so sad ... I wasnt even paying any attention to this card, nor the new cards from Nvidia as I was fine with what I currently have.
Then a few weeks ago I have a random dream where strangely I received a R290x in the mail as a free upgrade for my ancient X1900 xtx (lol I wish) ... but it seemed so real, and I installed it and benched it and played some games ... then woke up and 'Noooooooo, it was just a dream '.
Then last night I have another dream when I dig the R290x I got in the mail out of a drawer, install it and put my GTX 680s up on ebay...
My brain is now subconsciously trying to make me upgrade when I dont even want to! I think I need help.

AMD Radeon R9 290X CrossFire Video Card Review
Move aside TITAN SLI, Radeon R9 290X CrossFire just took over as the fastest 2-way video card performance in gaming across the board, period. For the price of one TITAN Radeon R9 290X CrossFire provides the most impressive performance we've seen to date, and beats not just one, but two TITANs.Read the complete review at HARDOCPThe Bottom Line
The GeForce GTX TITAN is the fastest single-GPU video card from NVIDIA that is available. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti is not yet available, performance is unknown, and we don't have one at this time. Even with the GTX 780 Ti, the TITAN pricing is not changing.
As per the recent NVIDIA price drop announcement GeForce GTX TITAN pricing remains the same at $999. That makes GeForce GTX TITAN SLI cost $2,000. Compare that to AMD Radeon R9 290X CrossFire, at $1,100. Now go back through this review and watch which configuration provides the highest performance and the best gameplay experience. The Radeon R9 290X CrossFire configuration owned GTX TITAN SLI. There wasn't one situation where R9 290X CrossFire wasn't faster. It didn't just ride the line with TITAN SLI, it leaped well beyond GTX TITAN SLI performance at 5760x1200 on three displays and on a 4K display.
With the price drop to $499 on the GeForce GTX 780 it is very price competitive with the AMD Radeon R9 290X at $549. When configuring SLI and CrossFire, the difference is only $100 though. GTX 780 SLI will be $1,000, while R9 290X CrossFire will be $1,100. For only $100 more, you get gigantic gains in performance from R9 290X CrossFire over GTX 780 SLI.
We saw from 20-40% performance advantages with R9 290X CrossFire over GTX 780 SLI. These are real, large increases, in performance. That extra money spent, is more than going into more performance delivered and a better gameplay experience.
We are simply impressed with the dominance that Radeon R9 290X CrossFire is showing over the GTX TITAN SLI and GTX 780 SLI.

In quite a few games Nvidia has a 4K SLI scaling problem. It basically doesn't scale at all over a single card. When you discount those scores, the results between 780, Titan, 290X of whatever iteration are pretty much neck and neck. As far as gaming is concerned the differences are too small to notice. I think you'll do well with any of them.

oh boy here we go.
You know that poland is the sixth largest country population wise in the EU, right (afair nearly 39 million)? And the EU itself already has over 500million people (compared to the 320million in the US).
Not to mention you can easly order from any country inside the EU and get your stuff in usually 2-3 days.
It's one thing to be a fan boy, but to be an ignorant & condescending toward people from other country as well ? totally uncalled for.

The performance is definitely there and according to the review very noticeable, the only issue is it needs better cooling solution than the reference card has. I believe all the buyers are fully aware of that and know what the solution is.With the price drop to $499 on the GeForce GTX 780 it is very price competitive with the AMD Radeon R9 290X at $549. In our evaluation, we found that the Radeon R9 290X performs closer to the GeForce GTX TITAN, than it does the GTX 780. It was neck and neck with the TITAN at 1080p and 1600p. However, when we pushed the single video cards up to Ultra HD 4K resolution, the tables turned, and the R9 290X took center stage. It overwhelmed the GeForce GTX TITAN, and provided a much better gameplay experience.

GELIDs Rev. 2 ICY VISION is compatible to R9 290X, listed on Newegg $55.
Was thinking about ordering the R9 290X plus the cooler, but decided better wait for one of this MSI lighting, ASUS Matrix, or Sapphire Toxic, I'm not it rush.

Well it was not the most important part. To me it looked the most important part was about Crossfire vs SLI performance and gaming experience at high resolution.
Beside the review also included 3 monitors config at 5760x1200 some enthusiast already using for long time. Some enthusiast actually using 3x 2560x1600 which is about 4 million more pixels than 4K UHD. By now there is not any secret that the R9 290X performs well and shines at high resolutions.
Personally I am the most excited about 4K UHD, the bezels set up was not for me and I was stuck with the max 37 inch monitor anything bigger the pixels would start to be visible with 1080P. With 4K i can go easy with 50 inch TV/Monitor. I would have already bought the Seiki as many did if it was not only 30Hz. I believe we should see in first half 2014 more 60Hz TV/Monitors at reasonable price. At least that's what I'm waiting for.

I believe everybody who bought the card knows about the Quiet and Uber mode. Plenty of info about that on the net and anybody who bought the card knows about it from internet, it's not like the card is sitting somewhere on store shelf's, even than I'm sure it's documented in the manual.
Most people buying $300 and up Graphic card are informed game enthusiast they know about the cards either from hardware or gaming forums.
