    help with a q9650

Long story short had to sell my i7 rig and I'm rocking my old set up with a q9650.

Stable at 3.8ghz but having issues getting it higher. I ran a q6600 at 3.9 GHz and in another mono my q9650 pulled 4.3ghz.

    Specs are

    Q9650
    Dfi lan party x48 dark
    8 gigs geil ego one ddr2 800
    Antec quatro 1kw
Gtx 680 "yes I know bottle neck lol but for $200 new I could not say no."
    Cpu is water cooled.

First dfi mobo. Use to gigabytes. So if you got any tips or ideas on what I can get to hit 3.9 - 4ghz let me know. Thanks.

#1 - DFI X48 is not a very good board for q9650. Try Asus X48.

Yeah I'll just do a upgrade to a i7 instead lol. I had a q6600 but most I could do was 3.9 on it so 3.8 on this 9650 is better
I got a q9300 but I Dont think it will clock higher since it looks like I'm fsb limited.

At 4ghz. Just not stable. Freezes at load. Any idea on how to get it stable. This mobo is the hardest I ever had to overclock on.
