    Well, I'm back. But what happened???

    WOW! Had a look at the numbers, 20k gets ya pie? Team is #7 in RAC?
    When I left my 35k was like #20 and the team RAC was #3.




    What happened? I guess the finish of the Cancer project has some to do with it.
    Can't keep all crunchers up cause of heat maybe.



    But I see lots of familiar names so many are still in it......




    So I guess we still have a winning ticket here.

    I am back and noticed my numbers (read as "rank") have slipped a bit.

    I need some more heat here so it's time to crank up some old friends. And I do mean old friends. Six of them are from my original farm...

    The end of HCC1 and GPU crunching, together with many projects ending hasn't helped.

    We only have FAAH and CEP2 at the moment. But new projects should be added soon (someone said fall)

    Good to see you are still around PG

    I have many new adventures to report when time permits. Right now I have a bunch of hardware trying to find "mamma". The mass water cooler is back up and running and allowing a PILE of machines to come back on line.

    It is amazing to me how fan bearings and stuff like that can seize up when not spun in a year or so.... Much like me, I guess....

    Like was mentioned in other posts, perhaps the project attraction is not at WCG right now. I had over 235 YEARS of runtime into the HCC project, followed by the other cancer related projects.

    I am attracted by the fact that WCG, and perhaps the research project directors, have understood that we will bring massive GPU power to bear on the thing. This is a good evolution.



    In the meantime, I will put my GPUs back on GPU Grid. That's if they will still run it...

    My best to everyone here. Keep on crunching whatever you got to do whatever is out there!!

    I fully understand why some only crunch Cancer projects. But the FightAIDS@Home project has had some success and AIDS is still a problem. The Clean Energy Project has some results as well.

    Anyway will be looking forward to reading about your adventures. They are always interesting!

    Just making hay while the sun shines here until Sam and co fire all their winter goodies up again.

    Gotta say though, I am enjoying getting more pie with less electricity. It might take a while but the aim is to get over 100 threads running

    Hey hey, some familiar faces in here

    I think the lack of GPU work right now is what's hurting our standings atm. Seems some teams like IBM saw us (and others) take off when GPU came around, so they put every CPU in their arsenal on the grid End result was they kept going when the GPU work ran out. Ouch!

    I am hoping another GPU project comes along soon. Something that I can stand behind, like HCC. I'm really not all that much into alien searches and "climate change prediction" models and stuff. I'm here for kicking disease butt, the heck with the other stuff!
