Hiper power supply
Hey. I have a Hiper 580W Type M Power supply. It has 2 12V rails with a combined total of 38Amps. I was wondering if it would be enough to power something similar to the following
Intel i series, Possibly i5 or i3
8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory
Asrock Fatal1ty P67 Professional
Asus Radeon 6950 1GB
I've looked around the internet for power requirements of alot of parts but most places have different opinions and i really can't decide what information is most accurate.
Here is a link to the Power Supply

Thanks in advance.

Johnny Guru says kinda weak 12 volt output.

It will work in my opinion but for how long would be a guess.

Hiper are a pretty good brand here in the UK or at least were. When you say it'll work but for how long, Do you think there's a chance this thing could burn out?

According to manufacturers specifications on your power supply you should be fine but like the Johnny Guru's article states the power supply does not hold up well due to improper cooling, One could only speculate how it will hold up well long term.

One of the things that guy said in the review is that it's based on an older ATX type. The motherboard i plan to run is pretty new. Will that power supply be compatible with it?
-
I would call Hiper directly and ask if your power supply is compatible with the new Intel processors.
