Joining the 8 GHz club... :)

This little chip had a surprise to show me.
Big thanks to Daveburt714 for supplying this one, this was his old FX-8120 that was good on water.

Rig pics to come when session is over.

    Thanks!
Session cut short, but 8 GHz was nice.
Only had single channel ram at the end and wasn't always booting so I just called it a night.

    Sweet Sam!!!

Thats the chip that did 5.4Ghz on (Winter Air) water. I knew it was decent, but had no idea it would do that well on LN2!
I'm sure your skills had alot to do with getting those clocks... Now I pissed that I don't have a pot. I might have been able to get 7.5 with that chip...

    Gratz Bud!

    Thanks guys!
Real voltage was probably a bit higher than 1.95v, it was set to max (2.012v) with +.05v VID offset IIRC.

This one was tough, but CU 2 and CU 3 were very decent, both upper 7 GHz, then I squeaked out this result. I think with an LN2 slow mode, and ability to adjust HTT in real-time this CPU will do a bit more. It deserves a run on the Crosshair V Formula...

I had a hunch between relatively low voltage and 5.4 GHz it had a chance
CU 1 only got to 7.4 GHz, CU 4 did around 7.6, CU 3 about 7.8, and CU 2 got the magic 8.
