How do you call those retail stores that...

sell used & new stuff, all kinds of random stuff, old and new?

I know they must have a name, but I dont know what exactly are their names.

Those stores where you can find what you least expect (including music, toys, jewelry, vintage items, electronics) but random and every week they have new stuff.

    Anybody?

Overstock, not really because normally these stores Im referring to will only have one or two of an item.

Liquidation, not really because some items are old items that happen to be new so they put them on sale. They just sell so many random items as long as they get items in brand new conditions they will be up for sale.

Pawn, I thought about that but a pawn is not exactly the type of store (very close though)

Let me describe what Im talking about.

You walk into a store and you see a variety of items for sale. Most items will be brand new, maybe a few used but rarely. You only see one or two of each MAX. For example. you walk around and find a new 1995 toy-biz superman toy next to a 1994 spiderman toy next to a 2001 smurffs toy. Then you move around and you find a brand new super mario nintendo 64 game. You keep walking around and you find a sealed coca cola bottle from 1980. Maybe a titanic movie poster on the prints area.

    You get the idea?

What country do you live in? I'm not familiar with this type of store unless it was a hobby shop or odd lots store or something along those lines?

I passed a store the other day selling used boats, roses and live bait. I guess perhaps the idea is that if you really piss off your significant other by going fishing or buying a used boat, then you take some roses home with you and that will mean you only spend a month in the dog house instead of two?

Sorry that I am not sure what type of store the OP is looking for however.

Thrift shop sounds like it, might start looking to see if there is any around. Not really looking for used stuff though, just random, new/old never used items.

    Thanks for the help guys!
